Nada Awad Rizkallah is presently the Head of Risk Management and Strategy at Group Credit Libanais, one of the top 8 Lebanese banks. Nada is a strong leader who enjoys challenges and is capable of leading and managing change with strong project management skills. Very dynamic keeping abreast of all banking market and regulatory framework, she enjoys over 36 years of banking experience focusing on the areas of Operations, Corporate Banking, Risk Management, Compliance/AML, Implementation of AML systems , internal rating model and bank core system, and leading the implementation of the Basel 2/3 Accord and IFRS 9 . Her experience, within various large financial institutions in Lebanon and the Gulf Region (ABN AMRO), has made her an expert in the banking field.
In her present position, Nada handles several responsibilities spanning from preparing and animating board risk and governance committees, preparing the bank strategy and overall risk management framework preparing the risk report to the Group CL Board Risk Committees and presenting it to the Board members. Nada held several senior positions in large local and international banks locally and in the Gulf as Head of Corporate Banking, Head of Organization, Planning & Strategy and Group Head of Risk Management and Compliance/AML. Nada is also a member of the Risk and Governance committees of the Association of Banks of Lebanon.
Nada holds a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut and a Master’s degree in Banking & Finance from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. She actively participates as a speaker in several local and international trainings (WUAB, Moody’s, IFC, Terrapin, ABL, etc.) and risk forums and is a Certified Trainer by IFC/ World Bank for the Women on Boards and in Business Leadership Program. As a freelancer, she completed the policies and procedures of the Banking Control Commission of Lebanon with a direct appointment from the Governor of the Central Bank.
