Raya Trans is an offshoot of Raya Group. It is a logistics company located in Zahle. Raya Trans provides cost effective heavy lifting and transportation services using semi-trailers and long beds to different clients including private businesses and government institutions.
Three buyers signed with the Lebanese Petroleum Administration (LPA) an agreement for offshore oil and gas exploration and production, with drilling set to start soon. The consortium will subcontract parts of the logistics and will select companies through a bid process.
To fulfill the contract with LPA, the consortium needs a company to provide heavy transportation from Beirut Port to a logistic base chosen by the consortium. The services include logistics, spare parts, and an in-house vehicle repair and maintenance shop.
Raya Trans offered their services to the buyers and the consortium has shown interest. However, to qualify for the bid, Raya Trans needs to become ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and 45001 certified.
LED and Raya Trans will cost share the intervention of the consultant who will help Raya Trans in becoming ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and 45001 certified.
With LED’s assistance, the company expects to increase sales and create 25 new jobs by 2020
