LED will hire a food specialist to support the company with its costing and pricing decisions, thereby addressing the company’s first challenge.

Royal Organics is a grape press in Rachaya Al Wadi, Bekaa. It was established in 2000 as a family business and received its permits to operate at an industrial scale in 2012.

Royal Organics has a buyer in the U.S. who is one of the largest Mediterranean food importers in Northern America. The buyer is interested in grape syrup and cereal bars from Royal Organics.
Royal Organics is now sending a trial air shipment with samples to the buyer. However, to seal the deal, Royal Organics needs to ensure proper product costing and pricing that takes into consideration the true cost to produce the product and the expected selling price in the U.S and design a new logo and new labels to comply with U.S. food import regulations.

LED will cost-share with Royal Organics to secure the needed technical assistance. LED will hire a food specialist to support the company with its costing and pricing decisions, thereby addressing the company’s first challenge.

The company expects to increase sales and generate 5 new jobs by 2020 with LED’s assistance
