SmushKies is a boutique dessert and coffee shop located in Beirut that specializes in various types of cookies, cakes, and ice cream. It also offers breakfast. SmushKies currently owns and operates one outlet in Mar Mikhael.
SmushKies has a strong market opportunity in Lebanon and emerging opportunities abroad. In 2019, the company plans to open two new company-owned outlets. In addition, SmushKies is engaged in discussions with interested parties concerning local and international franchising.
To conclude the deals with the potential franchisees, SmushKies must develop and finalize its franchise system and collateral, e.g. franchising manual/s. This process shall support SmushKies’ overall expansion plans.LED will cost-share with SmushKies to hire a local franchising specialist who will work with SmushKies to develop all the elements needed to put in place a franchising system, including the needed manuals (toolkit/s) and training programs.
Smushkies expects to increase its sales significantly and generate 17 new jobs by 2020 with LED’s assistance.
