Tel Chiha is a prominent hospital in the Bekaa. Its history adds a lot to its present—a very old hospital where most of the people from Zahle and its surroundings were born.
The hospital’s vision is to become an integrated university medical care center and a preferred institution in the Bekaa region for patients, doctors and employees. The hospital’s administration strives to establish a culture of change and continual improvement at all managerial and clinical levels. To achieve this, many internal improvements must accompany and support the hospital’s planned facilities upgrades.
LED will cost-share with the hospital to hire local consultants with hospital management expertise to conduct a comprehensive patient flow and workflow analysis and then, based on identified weaknesses, help the hospital to introduce improvements to its processes and procedures, leading to enhanced quality management and safety systems and better resource utilization (thereby reducing waste and saving money) and other tasks.
With LED’s assistance, the hospital expects to increase its revenues and create 60 new jobs by 2020.
