Euro-Med Innovation Day – Water, Food, & Energy

The Euro-Med Innovation Day: Water, Energy, Food event will gather Euro-Mediterranean and Lebanese innovators, researchers, policy makers, international companies, investors and industrialists to exchange around the latest innovations and findings in the Water, Energy, Food sectors following a NEXUS approach and explore partnerships and business opportunities.

Exposing the NEXUS innovation concept, challenges and opportunities in the fields of water, energy and food in the Mediterranean region in addition to the 5TOI-4EWAS project initial outputs presentation and general perspective.

This panel will shed the light on major indicators and outcomes derived from Nexus Think Tank network in the fields of water, energy and food and highlight recommendations to address regional challenges and opportunities in those sectors. It will present the importance of the Nexus approach in innovation for industrial, academia, and SME actors.

This panel will gather representatives from different funding mechanisms to cover existing programmes, initiatives, platforms and networks that offer funding opportunities for NEXUS projects and support the innovation development, capacity building and partnership building in the Med region.

This event is organized in the context of the 5TOI_4EWAS project GA 692523, an EU H2020 funded project that aims at encouraging innovation and research in the fields of energy, food and water in the Southern Mediterranean countries by supporting and connecting stakeholders, researchers and partners from the region and facilitate international cooperation for the development of innovative solutions in those sectors.

This event is composed of several tracks to offer a wide range of opportunities as well as bring together ideas, knowledge and people from the energy, water and food sectors, addressing future trends, policies, business and funding opportunities in the region.

It will include interactive panels with international and local experts in food, water and energy sectors, in addition to expert matchmaking activities to create collaboration opportunities.
