Interest in avocado cultivation in Lebanon has risen following the recommendation of the US based consulting firm McKinsey in their economic plan for Lebanon. However, Lebanon has a history of avocado cultivation that dates back to 2012 when there was oversaturation of citrus fruits. Avocado cultivation has been growing in Lebanon since and seems set to grow further given the world wide trend of avocado consumption.
