Biodiversity matters

The article is an interview with Rob Laing, CEO and founder of Farm.One, an indoor hydroponics vertical farming startup which is looking at growing a wide base of produce instead of focusing on one crop only. This promotes a wide variety of culinary tastes and encourages people to move away from animal heavy diets by providing with an abundance of options. While we do have a biodiversity of crops in Lebanon, there is room for improvement and we have seen many companies introducing somehow new produce in Lebanon such as blueberries by Tootberry or asparagus through La ferme de Lea.
