Stix Fresh, a food innovation company, has developed a technology manifested in stickers which when placed on fruit can keep them fresh looking and tasting for up to fourteen days. This is important because it helps in reducing food waste at home and at restaurants as well. Since Lebanon produces and imports fruits, looking into such innovations would be helpful in making our homegrown produce last longer. There are already some local startups which are working on edible and organic wax material which when placed on food helps them last longer.
