Edith Hachem

Business Advisor

Edith Hachem joined Berytech in May 2023 and is currently Business Advisor for Aryaf project. This project, funded by BMZ and implemented in partnership with GIZ, aims to support the growth and sustainability of micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises. In her role, Edith provides valuable assistance to these enterprises, helping them achieve their goals and navigate the challenges of the business landscape.

Edith holds a master’s in chemical engineering from Balamand University, which has equipped her with a solid technical foundation. Additionally, she possesses a master’s in environmental economics from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Before joining Berytech, Edith gained over six years of experience in the economic recovery and development sector, focusing on livelihoods and rural development. During this time, she worked extensively with various international organizations, implementing projects for WFP, UNICEF, AICS, and EU donors. As a project coordinator, she actively supported SMEs and implemented capacity-building projects such as Cash for Work and TVET (technical and vocational education and training) throughout Lebanon. In addition to her experience in Lebanon, she worked remotely with a consulting agency supporting SMEs in Kuwait and assisting them in accessing funding opportunities. Her expertise in developing feasibility studies and business plans enabled these SMEs to secure technical and financial support for their growth and success.

Edith’s unique blend of engineering, economics, and business development enables her to approach challenges with a well-rounded perspective. She is committed to helping businesses thrive by identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and fostering sustainable practices.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Edith enjoys exploring new cultures and spending quality time with her family and friends.
