Jessica Hajjar

Programs Coordinator

Jessica Hajjar joined Berytech in October 2022 as a Programs Coordinator. She previously held the position of an Academic and Co-Curricular Facilitator at the Lebanese American University (LAU) for 3 years, where she managed the civic engagement component of the USAID Higher Education Scholarship and coordinated the main high-level USAID events.

Jessica has a strong belief that the engagement of youth in social change is extremely important to create solutions to the local and even international threats. A belief that was carried out in her 4+ years of experience in the non-profit and education sectors as she worked on several research projects involving entrepreneurship, family business and inclusion all while completing her MBA at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in collaboration with Université Pantheon-Assas in France. In her previous jobs, she worked on the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in the workplace through training and recruitment, interviewing entrepreneurs and business owners in conflict zones, as well as coaching and supporting talented university scholars.

As a people-oriented person, Jessica participated in many trainings, workshops and experiences on social and business matters. She was an active participant in the Lebanese Young Leaders of Tomorrow program, where she was chosen to represent Lebanon in the Young Leaders Summit in Berlin in 2019. In her long-term volunteering and extracurricular commitments, she acquired well-rounded skills in participating, creating, and implementing outreach activities and events as well as excellent working experience in people management and coordination of projects.

Jessica is passionate about photographing natural landscapes and portraits, reading self-help books, spirituality, biographies and history, and discussing global challenges and matters.

Her goal today is to help community members fight the crisis her beloved country is going through by supporting them in finding solutions to the potential threats and empowering their business and social ideas and organizations.
