Jessica Hallak has been leading Berytech’s Finance and Administration since November 2016. She is the holder of a Master’s degree in Audit from the Lebanese University and a diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (DIP IFRS) ACCA Exam, and CPA (financial and audit part).
Jessica has been working in the audit and finance field for the past 12 years, 7 of which were spent in a multinational big 4 audit firm. Previously as an external auditor, Jessica was exposed to several sectors of leading local and global companies in the banking, manufacturing, consulting, healthcare, media and advertising and non-profit organizations and presented financial reports to directors, interfaced with CEOs and stakeholders. Working in different fields and countries has allowed her to gain certain openness and understanding of how communities function within their diversities.
In her current role at Berytech, Jessica oversees the organization and coordination of all the activities of the Finance and Accounting department. This includes managing and monitoring various projects with EU and US donors to ensure financial compliance and consistency with Berytech’s policies and procedures, as well as compliance with the terms of any donor agreements. She helps Berytech grow by setting and implementing internal control policies and procedures, focusing on tightening and improving business processes to reduce the risk of misreporting financial data, and optimizing the impact on the community of entrepreneurs.
Jessica is fond of traveling and exploring various types of cuisines.
