Sevag joined Berytech in August 2020 and is currently the Accelerator CTO/Digital Transformation Manager for the ACT Smart Innovation Hub Initiative. He graduated with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB, class of 2010), then pursued a master’s degree with emphasis in mechatronics and robotics, with research involved in biorobotic locomotion.
He gained experience as an instructor at AUB. He is involved in the preparation and instruction of various courses including robotics, mechatronics, control systems and autonomous mobile robotics.
In parallel, Sevag is involved in the local industry as he has designed and implemented various automation and robotic solutions, including the mechanical, electrical and control subsystems. He has been specifically involved in the food and plastics manufacturing industries.
His freelance work also covers design and implementation of multidisciplinary interactive mechatronic systems and the development of prototypes for numerous startups in Beirut.
