Haulo is a digital platform connecting customers to carriers in order to ship their items, in an efficient and sustainable manner. The startup aims to optimize transportation and fleet management while reducing costs.
The client chooses what type of commodity they are shipping. Once the order is placed Haulo will assign the order to a vehicle already going to the set destination, this way the vehicle will be utilized to its full capacity making the order cheaper and more efficient.
After working in the fleet industry, the founders realized that transportation is not being made in an efficient manner, there are lots of vehicles carrying partial load and they are not used to their fullest capacity. This leads to an increase in carbon footprint, more vehicles on the road, and an increase in vehicle depreciation. Haulo can be used on the B2B scale, customers have the option to ship big or bulky items in a cost-efficient manner.
