On October 8 2015, the UK Lebanon Tech hub gathered key stakeholders from the Lebanese entrepreneurship ecosystem and successful entrepreneurs at the Central Bank of Lebanon to officially announce the finalists of their international acceleration program.
Program applicants included vibrant startups and SMEs from Lebanon looking to explore and expand into international markets. They actually went over a hands-on acceleration program comprising of several activities to support them in business growth, job creation and international strategies. The UK-Lebanon Tech Hub being an International initiative jointly kick-started by Banque Du Liban and the UK Government through the British Embassy in Beirut.
During that ceremony, the official list of companies that will move on to Internationalization Phase II London and the ones that will move on to Regionalization Expansion Phase II Beirut, were publically announced.
The event was moderated by the UK Tech Hub CEO Mr Colm Reilly in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Nicolas Sehnaoui, HE Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon Mr. Riad Salamé, and HE Hugo shorter, all emphasizing on the potential of the companies selected and the role and economic impact they will create, putting Lebanon on the “worldwide digital map”.
Berytech is proud to congratulate several companies from its community that made it through this acceleration phase which will be an exciting opportunity for them opening up internal networks and expertise while growing them to the next level. This includes CardioDiagnostics, Slighter, Keeward and TouristTube for phase I and Bnooki, Silex, Ubility, Born Interactive and Referd for phase II.
