Berytech, in collaboration with the Lebanon Soft Shore (LSS) software cluster, hosted a power lunch to present the LSS to Lebanese software companies and to also introduce the PUM program, a support program supported by the Netherlands tailored to assist SMEs in Lebanon.
Ms. Sandra Sarkis Matta, LSS Cluster Manager, described how the cluster’s main mission is to offer high quality software services at competitive prices to international companies based in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Africa, “We have more than 400 IT specialist who can help Lebanese companies cover all the phases of development related to software solutions using the newest technologies.”
Mr. Marwan Nasr, PUM Country Representative, explained that the PUM program assists SMEs in under-developed countries by sending Dutch experts in their fields of operation to help them with developing their business. They work with around 2000 senior experts who share their knowledge on a one-on-one basis, either through short-term and repetitive advisory missions at the work floor, or through online coaching activities.
The lunch gathered a few entrepreneurs to meet both speakers and understand how those programs can have an impact on their ventures, while 2 entrepreneurs explained how the programs impacted positively the growth of their business.
