Berytech joins the Clean River Hub network as a knowledge partner in this global initiative working on accelerating the cleanup and restoration of river ecosystems.
The Clean River Hub is a global initiative working to become the center of knowledge, methodologies, and process and tools for optimizing the positive impact of efforts in the area of prevention, cleaning and restoring waterway ecosystems.
Clean River Hub works on connecting different stakeholders working on accelerating sustainable and scalable solutions for keeping rivers and oceans clean, and capable of restoring their biodiversity. They are working on leveraging the existing technical and operational knowledge on cleaning and restoring ecosystems, and organizing it according to watershed basins, maximizing the role of nature in restoration (flora and fauna).
They are encouraging citizens to play an active role in restoring ecosystems, by enabling cooperation between organizations that work in the field, public entities responsible for water resources, financial institutions, research centers, innovative businesses, educational institutions and other entities in order to create sustainable change that improves and accelerates existing solutions in the area of prevention, cleaning and the subsequent maintenance of waterway ecosystems.
Berytech is active in catalyzing innovations in the cleantech sector to reduce the negative impact on the environment through its Cleanergy Program designed to make sure that Lebanon has the most competitive companies innovating in the sector. The Program is under the ACT Smart Innovation Hub, a new out-of-the-box approach by Berytech aiming at strengthening business advancement and job creation in the Agri-food and Cleantech sectors in Lebanon, funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
