BerytechBeat Podcast: Celebrating The Berytech Community

The lessons they have learned the hard way can help shape a better future for the country. This is what makes each of their stories worth listening to.

Berytech launches the BerytechBeat Podcast celebrating the Berytech community of innovators, change-makers, and risk-takers shaping the future of Lebanon.

The podcast interviews founders, operators, investors, and innovators who share their stories of entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, management, and fundraising. They also dive into their personal journeys of growth, setbacks, failures, and learnings.

The guests of the BerytechBeat have operated in extreme uncertainty, minimal infrastructure, an unprecedented economic crisis, a health pandemic, and a dire humanitarian situation.

Entrepreneurs navigated pivoting, re-strategizing, exponentially expanding, relocating, and looking for new markets in a matter of months.

The challenges deeply impacted the ecosystem at different levels. Many support organizations took a back seat, while a surge of newly launched support programs is becoming increasingly targeted to specific sectors. Accelerators, incubators, and impact-driven organizations had to quickly adapt, transform and acquire new talent.

Meanwhile, the collapse of the banking sector has forced businesses and investors to find immediate solutions, unconventional at times, to provide the necessary funding to sustain, grow or benefit from present opportunities.

“We’ve been witnessing the resilience of the Lebanese entrepreneurship ecosystem for years, but the vigor, persistence, and determination that we’ve been encountering with Lebanese startups and SMEs in the past couple of years is unprecedented. The lessons they have learned the hard way can help shape a better future for the country. This is what makes each of their stories worth listening to,” explains Maya Rahal, podcast host and Berytech’s Director of Communication. Her background in journalism and her 12+ years of experience in the entrepreneurial ecosystem allow her to implore her guests on their life-changing decisions, mental health, business models, and investment choices while keeping the flow smooth and interesting.

The BerytechBeat podcast launches with 5 episodes available on YouTube, Spotify, and our website.
