The Euromed Clusters Forward National Launch Event took place at the Ritage Garden in Beirut, on June 22, 2023. The event, organized by Berytech and funded by the European Union, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from current and potential clusters, public sector officials, coaches, mentors, consultants, and experts from various sectors.
The primary objective of the event was to engage stakeholders in the program, fostering collaboration, active participation, and creating awareness about the substantial benefits of clustering, which positively impacts business growth. Additionally, the event provided an excellent platform for facilitating matchmaking opportunities, encouraging meaningful partnerships and collaborations.
A Program with Tremendous Significance and Potential
The event featured a dynamic and engaging agenda that catered to the participants’ interests. The Berytech team began with an introductory session, providing an in-depth overview of the program and its diverse range of activities. This session served as a foundation for the audience to grasp the significance and potential of the Euromed Clusters Forward program.
Furthermore, attendees gained valuable insights from a compelling case study on the QOOT cluster, Lebanon’s first agrifood cluster. The case study showcased the cluster’s journey, from its inception to its sustained success, serving as an inspiring model for other clusters to follow.
To complement this, a representative from Lebanon soft shore, a cluster member in the ICT field, shared their experiences, highlighting the positive outcomes derived from clustering. Their testimonial provided real-world examples of the advantages that clusters offer to businesses in various sectors.
Join the Community for a Heap of Opportunities
One of the highlights of the event was the co-creation workshops, expertly moderated by John Rbeiz. These workshops facilitated open discussions among participants, enabling them to identify challenges faced by SMEs and clusters. The exchange of ideas and solutions resulted in valuable outcomes that emphasized the collective efforts in addressing key challenges and finding innovative solutions.
The event concluded with engaging networking sessions, allowing participants to connect, forge new partnerships, and exchange valuable knowledge. These sessions provided an opportunity for like-minded individuals and organizations to interact, fostering an environment of collaboration and cooperation.
