
Berytech is partners with the Future Agro Challenge (FAC) – a global competition targeting food and agribusiness startups from various corners of the globe addressing national, regional and global challenges, to catalyze innovation in the agri-food industry.
Compost Baladi– a pioneering Lebanese company in the production of home-scale biowaste recycling devices, was announced as the Lebanese Agripreneur of The Year – winner of the local competition 2018-2019 and the team is heading to the international finals to represent Lebanon at the Global Agripreneurs Summit this September in Greece and compete with the most promising agri-food startups from across the world for the title of Agripreneur of the Year.
The Global Agripreneurs Summitis an assembly of agri-food innovators and leaders from around the world – where farmers, agripreneurs, chefs, investors, organizations, policy makers, and other thought leaders work together to help bring life to game changing innovations, and propel agriculture as a sustainable source of growth and economic development.
Compost Baladi received their award from Carla Tanas – Founder of FAC, during the agri-food innovation dayin Beirut. FAC Lebanon is jointly funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands and Berytech within the Agrytech Program.
