About The Trainer

Dr. Mohamad Abiad is a renowned Professor of Food Processing and Packaging at the American University of Beirut. He holds an adjunct faculty position at Michigan State University, USA. Dr. Abiad serves as Senior Advisor for the Minister of Environment and is involved in various committees related to public health and food safety. He holds multiple academic degrees and certifications in packaging, food safety, and environmental sampling. 

His research focuses on sustainability and recycling in the agri-food sector, particularly in converting food waste into valuable products. Dr. Abiad has published extensively, with over 60 publications in top-tier journals. He has significant consulting experience in the agri-food industry and collaborates with various funding programs. He has organized workshops and presented his research at international conferences. He is a member of several professional organizations related to packaging, food technology, and environmental sampling.
