About the Speaker
Aram Yeretzian is an architect and expert in sustainable architecture. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the American University of Beirut, and a master’s degree of Science in Architecture and Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the University of East London, in collaboration with the Center for Alternative Technology in Wales. In 2023, he received the prestigious Fullbright Scholar Award.
In 1999 and following 8 years of work in architectural and urban planning with the Cabinet d’Architectes L’Arch firm in France, Aram cofounded Prime Design Architects. This professional practice focuses on the research and supervision of sustainable architectural designs and delves into the master planning of projects at various scales.
Since 2015, Aram has worked at the Departments of Architecture, Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering at the American University of Beirut, specializing in climate responsive buildings. He is also a member of the sustainability and energy committee at the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut.
Aram is a founding member of the Lebanon Green Building Council and served as president from 2012 to 2014. Finally, he lectures at conferences related to sustainability, serves as a jury member in diverse universities, and represents the Ministry of Environment for any issue related to the environmental aspects of construction and buildings.
