Talking Social Business at the “SenseCamp”

Berytech joined Makesense in a three-day game-changing agenda in January – gathering more than 30 leading actors of the social business ecosystem in Lebanon and in the region.

 

The Sense Camp Unconference

The “SenseCamp” is a participant-driven conference “unconference”: inspiring keynotes, interactive workshops, and impact games around Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The event gathered 150 global and local changemakers: social entrepreneurs, innovators, field experts, startup support actors, etc and 30 speakers from Lebanon, the MENA region and France who shared their experience, tips and challenges as the leading actors of the social business ecosystem.

 

Berytech’s Role in supporting Social Entrepreneurs

Krystel Khalil, Berytech’s Project Director, joined the speakers to talk about the role Berytech is playing to support social entrepreneurs, guiding them through the challenging startup journey, while offering a vibrant ecosystem to thrive in including different programs and competitions that focus solely on social entrepreneurship. 

Among the speakers were Live Love Lebanon, Arcenciel, Beyond Reform & Development who shared their insights on the main theme “Resilient Cities”. Participants focused on answering a prominent question: “As citizens, what can we do to grow, adapt, and survive in our Lebanese cities? exploring urban & rural resilience within the realm of social entrepreneurship in 4 key aspects: People, Planet, Partnerships, Policy.
