The Food System Challenge at HORECA Lebanon – 2024

At the 28th edition of HORECA, the Food System Challenge showcased its role in advancing the agriculture and agrifood sector by supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The exhibition displayed innovations and products from its winners, emphasizing the program’s commitment to sustainable solutions.

Over the four-day event, attendees were encouraged to apply for the program’s next challenge, offering them a chance to benefit from a tailored package of business development services, technical assistance, and financial support to grow long-term solutions in the agriculture and agrifood sectors.

The display highlighted the program’s focus on broadening its impact within the sub-sectors of the agrifood industry, which includes facilitating access to water and energy, developing import substitutions and alternatives, increasing production quantity, quality, and efficiency, and reducing and valorizing food loss.
