REAF Ideathon Second Edition - 1200 x 628
The REAF Ideathon is a unique event designed to validate ideas into successful businesses.

Berytech is opening its applications for the second batch of applicants for the REAF Ideathon to take place on the weekend of May 5, 6, & 7, 2023. This comes after a successful first edition of the REAF Ideathon in 2022, and two recently concluded REAF Ideathons at the hubs of the program’s community stakeholders, Michel Daher Foundation and Rural Entrepreneurs.

The REAF Ideathon is a unique event designed to provide entrepreneurs, startups, and early-stage SMEs with the resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities needed to validate their ideas into successful businesses.

The Ideathon

Berytech will host the REAF Ideathon over three consecutive days from May 5th to May 7th. The Ideathon is specifically focused on working with innovative solutions in the sectors of agrifood, eco-tourism, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy, operating in South Mount Lebanon, Central, and West Bekaa regions. Participants will be tasked with solving real problems and challenges in rural communities, providing them with a unique opportunity to create positive social impact.

The Ideathon aims to enhance the business concepts of participants, provide them with technical support, and enable them to pitch their proposed solutions to a panel of judges. This will give them the chance to be selected to join the 8-month REAF Incubation program.

The incubation program is designed to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses by providing them with mentorship, funding, and business development services.

The winners of the Ideathons at Michel Daher Foundation and Rural Entrepreneurs will continue their journey with Berytech, where they will have the chance to be selected for the REAF program.

How to Apply

Teams who would like to participate in the Ideathon must be working on agrifood, eco-tourism, and circular economy projects that have a direct socio-economic impact and must have at least two Lebanese co-founders aged between 18 and 35.
