The REAF Ideathon is back with three exciting days, from December 8th to December 10th for its third edition. Building on the success of the second edition and inspired by the recent REAF Ideathons at the community stakeholders, Michel Daher Foundation and Rural Entrepreneurs, we’re thrilled to announce the opening of applications for the upcoming Berytech REAF Ideathon.
The REAF Ideathon is a unique event that acts as a catalyst for entrepreneurs, startups, and early-stage SMEs in the South Mount Lebanon, Central, and West Bekaa regions. It focuses on the vital sectors of agrifood, eco-tourism, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy.
Participants in this edition will tackle real challenges in rural communities, offering innovative solutions that drive positive social impact. It’s the perfect opportunity to refine business concepts, receive expert guidance, and present solutions to an esteemed panel of judges. The winners of this 3-day Ideathon will earn a place in the 8-month REAF Incubation program, serving as the bridge to transform ideas into thriving businesses. The program provides mentorship, funding opportunities, and tailored business development services, helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.
How To Participate – Apply Now
Teams must be working on projects related to agrifood, eco-tourism, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy that drive positive socio-economic change, and has at least two Lebanese co-founders aged between 18 and 35, are invited to apply.

Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF) program that aims at strengthening the socio-economic resilience of individuals in South of Mount-Lebanon, Central and West Bekaa through supporting the business model viability of startups in the agri-food, eco-tourism, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy sectors.
The program is funded by The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Berytech, within the framework of the project Strengthening Agriculture, Local Communities, and Small and Medium Enterprises (ACE).
