A new crowd took over the Apple Lab of ESIB in Mar Roukoz on Tuesday, September 8. Young boys and girls aged 11 to 17 years old gathered at 9h00 am to learn how to develop IOS applications using Swift.
The Professor, Dr. Dany Mezher, mainly used a practical approach in teaching application development to younger students. He started by introducing the User Experience Basics and Design and went on to elaborating on how to develop applications by creating three different apps as examples: a Fahrenheit to Celsius temperature converter, an app for filtering images and an app that just SCREAMS! Students were able to experience the visual, audio and programming aspect of application development.
Giovanni Noujaim, a 15 year old attendee, told us how he’s been looking forward to taking this workshop. With a little knowledge in coding and a lot of excitement towards the subject, Giovanni is looking forward to apply what he’s learned to experiment more in coding and app development.
