What They Do:
Digimart is a B2B e-commerce platform that connects retailers or hotels and restaurants to suppliers and distributors. The platform helps distributors promote their new, regular and discounted products instantly and directly to the retailers. This decreases the expenses of their sales teams and increases their market coverage and their sales. Retailers can find these promotions easily and order them online along with other regular products which save them money, effort and time.
Their Startup Experience:
“We have always known that the journey of a startup was hard. When you have no previous experience in startups, the planning and execution are two critical parts. Knowing where to start and how to start can make all the difference between the story of success and failure of the startup. The Agrytech Accelerator program offers the right preparation for a successful startup. We are eager to make our startup succeed and that was enough reason to apply, hoping to have all the training, mentorship and follow up of the experts through all the phases of our startup.
The Bootcamp phase helped us learn that the journey to becoming an entrepreneur is not easy at all. Having to spend 4 days, learning how to validate your idea, put it on the right path, then trying to apply it to our startup was not easy. During that phase, we learned about identifying our targeted audience, validate their pain, look at their interest and tailor a solution that best fits them. You learn how to identify the strengths of your solution around which you should build your core competencies to increase your advantages. Not only this but we were also able to step out of our comfort zone and pitch. It was the first time we try to pitch and it was not that easy. However, pitching for over 8 times during those 4 days, helped us become more comfortable about it. This helped us gain more confidence in the final pitch of phase 1.
For the upcoming phase, we are eager to develop our MVP in the best way to get the best user experience and feedback that would help us continue developing our platform. We want to get the experience of the experts provided by Agrytech Accelerator who are helping us improve different aspects of our startup, from the platform to the legal aspects such as the IP and founders’ agreement. We want by the end of this phase to have the final product that we will launch into the market. We want to validate all the features we are working on to make sure that our users will use our platform for their daily orders.”
