IRC HR Services: Receives Support from WEEL Project to Grow

IRC WEEL

Established in Lebanon in 2001, IRC provides human resources and employee outsourcing, payroll outsourcing, contingent recruitment, co-working spaces, executive search for C-level & leadership roles and outplacement services. The company aims to expand in providing Turnkey HR solutions services in the MENA region

We talked to the IRC Team about the impact of the support received through their participation in the WEEL project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France.

Growth and Impact

“The shortage of employment opportunities is obliging thousands of Lebanese educated citizens to migrate abroad to find a good job. IRC was founded because of high unemployment rate, the lack of professionals and human resource experts to support Lebanese companies, the lack of governmental support for foreign companies to invest in Lebanon and the lack of support for local companies to expand abroad.

We applied to the EU funded WEEL project because we were in urgent need of financial support to better manage our operation, install a new ERP system, and grow our business by rebuilding our coworking space, which was destroyed in the Beirut Blast. We aim to serve companies who wish to invest in Lebanon but do not have a legal entity allowing their team  to fully operate from our spaces. WEEL supported us with a grant that provided us a financial training which is a key ingredient for our planning, in addition to marketing and businesses related assistance, as well as consultancy support by sharing experiences in management, strategy, and development that suggest ways to improve our chances for success..”

About WEEL

WEEL is part of a larger programme, the EU for Women Empowerment (EU4WE), a 42-month programme (October 2019 – March 2023) funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France. It aims at promoting full and unconditional equality between men and women in Lebanon. The specific purpose of EU4WE is to reduce gender-based violence through women’s empowerment and enhance existing institutional mechanisms working towards gender equality.
