Berytech organized a pitching event for 25 startups who are part of the GIMED Support Program for Green Startups. 17 solutions were selected to receive training and coaching, access to business support, grants, and funding opportunities, international and regional B2B meetings and trade deals, in additions to a diversified network of green partners, investors, entrepreneurs and professionals.

The first annual EcoSwitch Festival for eco-entrepreneurs in Lebanon welcomed over 65 online participants and 80 people at the physical networking event, the Beirut Digital District, where they got the chance to meet and exchange collaboration proposals.
Wave offers the smart bicycle as a solution to problems like pollution, congestion and lack of exercise to people living in cities all around the MENA region. The startup has a subscription-based model following the successful Northwestern European model. However, it has tailormade its app, bike, and service to suit the culture, environment and climate of the region.
Sofra offers bio-based and biodegradable disposable tableware products based on food processing wastes. Sofra use 100% natural ingredients and their production process has low energy consumption.
Operating since 2019, Lebanon Waste Management (LWM) is a sorting facility that treats dry solid waste. LWM uses unrecyclable waste to make RE-tiles: recyclable, re-purposed, durable, eco-friendly, and customizable bricks and tiles.
From 20 initial projects, 10 startups pitched during a Pitching and Matchmaking Event organized by Berytech, where 4 finalists were chosen to join the incubation phase and receive additional support under the Green Applied Research & Innovations Support Program.
