NEX-LABS INNOVATION VOUCHERS

Calling innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, startups from Lebanon to apply to the NEX-LABS Innovation Support Vouchers in the Water-Food-Energy Nexus sector to fasten the development of their innovations and access market opportunities. 

About the Innovation Vouchers

This voucher provides tailored technical support to seven SMEs or entrepreneurs in developing their innovations, validating them in the market, and further strengthening their know-how by granting them 5,000 euros worth of technical support. 

The voucher recipients will have access to external expertise and a set of business development skills covering different fields: technology, process development, IPR, strategy, business modeling, marketing, industry linkages, exporting, and regulations.  

The aim of this collaboration is to support innovators, researchers, and startups to validate their innovation, and technology, develop their business strategy, and test their go-to-market strategy.

Who Can Apply?

  • SMEs or entrepreneurs working on innovations within the Water-Energy-Food NEXUS sector.
  • Researchers, Faculty Members, and Lab Members working on validating their research and turning it into a startup project.
  • The innovation or technology project should be innovative, applicable in the market, scalable, and has a clear business model.
  • The person or team should have sufficient expertise in the field of the project.

About the Project

NEX-LABS aims to support the implementation of clean technologies for sustainable and resilient increase of agri-food sector production based on a more efficient use of energy (renewable/solar solutions) and water (wastewater treatment, water harvesting or reuse solutions) in MPC region thanks to the contributions of ICT such as blockchain technology, Internet or the Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and Big Data.

NEX-LABS will contribute to the creation of a sustainable and resilient agro-food sector based on NEXUS driven Open Living Labs (NDOLL) approach, thus strengthening technology transfer, cooperation industry-academia, increasing commercialization opportunities and innovation-driven growth.

  • With reference B_A2.1._0124, NEX-LABS project is funded by the EU under the ENI CBC Med Programme

With a total budget of €3.450.984,97, the project has received a contribution of € 3.105.866,47 (90%)


Beneficiaries

NEX-LABS targets a plethora of stakeholders, including public institutions such as ministries and national agencies, research centers or universities, SMEs, entities of the entrepreneurship ecosystem such as companies/ technology transfer organizations /technological parks/venture capital/business angels, entities collaborating to the public debate such as communication multipliers/think tanks, civil society organizations.
