What They Do:
BRB is a Lebanese Fresh Pasta brand that will take you on a trip of flavors from Beirut to Rome and back! They joined the Agrytech Accelerator Program with an idea to build a local pasta production as a solution to the current crisis since the Lebanese market used to count on imported pasta only. However, they found that Lebanon has all the right resources to produce good quality fresh pasta from durum wheat & fresh eggs.
“Building on our expertise, passion, and the support of Agrytech experts, we created the perfect recipe for a convenient, natural, free from preservatives, tasty, wholesome, and high-quality fresh pasta, using local ingredients directly from farmers and employing exclusively Lebanese labor.
BRB aims to become the casual brand of choice, accessible for everyone including households with kids, young couples and health-oriented individuals.
With the support of the Agrytech Accelerator Program, we launched our pasta factory in September 2021, implementing all food safety standards for the premises & GMP’s, and supplied it with professional Italian machines.
BRB is currently producing 4 cuts: Lasagna, Urjuan Shells, Rotini, and Tagliolini. After the extrusion stage, our pasta is pasteurized then dehydrated slowly for 24 hours, which gives it an optimized texture, taste, and a shelf-life of 18 months validated in the lab.
The turning point in our journey was when we focused on building a true, convenient, sustainable product, and business for our employees, suppliers, and consumers. Despite all the challenges from the economic crisis, lockdowns, daily struggles with currency fluctuations, roads blocks, and shortage in power supply, we stood like a rock, determined to succeed, believing we can make a positive impact… and BRB did!”
