Berytech Launches Youth Training Program for Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF)

Berytech announces the launch of its Youth Training program within the Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF) program. The REAF program aims to support rural startups and strengthen the socio-economic resilience of vulnerable groups in South of Mount-Lebanon, Central, and West Bekaa.

The youth training program is designed to empower young, women, and disabled entrepreneurs in rural areas with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industries of agrifood, eco-tourism, sustainable agriculture, and circular economy. The 18-month program will cover a range of topics, including agri-food processing, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, green entrepreneurship, negotiation strategies, body language, and public speaking techniques.

“We are thrilled to offer this training program to young, women, and disabled entrepreneurs in rural areas. Our goal is to empower them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the industries of sustainable rural economic development,” says Adam Sleiman, REAF program manager. “We believe that this program will play a crucial role in strengthening the socio-economic resilience of vulnerable groups in South of Mount-Lebanon, Central, and West Bekaa.”

The Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF) program is funded by The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Berytech within the framework of the project Strengthening Agriculture, Local Communities, and Small and Medium Enterprises (ACE).

Eligible applicants must be Lebanese youth aged between 18 and 35, located in South of Mount-Lebanon, Central, and West Bekaa, and preferably women and people with disabilities.
