Berytech launched the HealthTech Solutions Initiative a few weeks back, where we welcomed anyone and any team working on a Health Technology solution that can respond immediately to the Coronavirus crisis and the current emergency medical needs for Lebanon.
Here we share with you the projects that have been supported and implemented to help with the COVID-19 crisis in Lebanon. We are very proud of the work done with the team and at the Berytech Fab Lab. Berytech pledged to support up to 5 projects with up to a $10,000 grant each to cover material used to prototype at the Berytech Fab Lab.
HealthTech Solutions
The team at the Berytech Fab Lab has designed and successfully prototyped an aerosol box for protecting doctors and support staff from splashes during intubation. It was tested at the Hariri University Hospital.
The team at the Berytech Fab Lab has designed and successfully prototyped a face shield, a PPE device to help protect healthcare professionals to safely deal with COVID-19 cases.
ORB Facial Recognition & Fever Screening System
ORB is a security facial recognition system with thermal screening to detect fever in an individual, coupled with mobile and web applications for quick notification.
Berytech has developed a platform to list quarantine centers, giving users the flexibility to search by district and in English and Arabic.
Saydale is a B2C platform that aims to reduce the time spent by customers in pharmacies from minutes to seconds.
Berytech Fab Lab
The Digital Fabrication Lab is in the Berytech Innovation Park in Mar Roukoz, and the team of engineers is ready to assist with using all the machines to develop the prototype of the solutions.
The Fabrication Lab has industry-grade technologies and a wide range of machines and equipment including: CNC Milling Machine, Desktop CNC Router, Laser Cutter, 3D Printers, SLA 3D Printer, 3D Scanner, Vacuum Forming Machine, Power Tools, Electronics Workbench, and Computers Workstations.
