Producing a Smiley Face Ice Tray – CNC Milling & Vacuum Forming

In this project, we describe in details the steps followed to produce a Smiley Face Ice Cubes Tray, using CNC Milling and Vacuum Forming Technology at the fab lab. This ice tray is designed and produced at the fab lab. Design was done using Fusion 360 and CNC milled using 22mm MDF Material on a CNC Milling Machine. The positive mold was then used to produce the ice tray using vacuum forming.

Producing a “Face Mask Required” Sticker

This project is a “Face Mask Required” colored sticker produced at the fablab. The design was downloaded from freepik.com. Sticker was then printed and cut on the Roland BN-20 Vinyl Printer and Cutter, and then stuck on the Fab Lab entrance door.

Laser Cutting Berytech Fab Lab Logo

This project describes and shows how to Laser Cut the same Vector file using various material. Design was done using Adobe Illustrator, exported to AutoCad.  Design was then used to cut into multiple material types (Acrylic, Plywood, MDF, and Cardboard) using a 120Watt Epilog, CO2 Laser Cutter.

Laser Cut T-Rex

This is a Laser Cut 3D T-Rex produced at the fab lab. Design was downloaded from the Epilog Laser Resources section and Laser Cut using 5.6 mm MDF Boards on a Laser Cutter. Parts were then painted and assembled to form the final model.

Dining Table Production – 2D CNC Milling Project

This Dining Table is produced at the fab lab. Design was done by Rhysh and downloaded from Instructables. Table is made from two 2400x1200mm sheets of 18mm Birch plywood. Locks together with no glue and the screwed joints are hidden. It can be easily disassembled and packed flat for relocation.

3D Printed Wall Art

This is a 3d printed wall art that is produced at the fab lab. Design was done downloaded from Thingiverse and printed using PLA Plastic Material on an FDM 3d Printer. 2 colors were used to print this part. The printed part was then stuck on the 3d printing area door at the fab lab as shown in the image.

This is a 3d printed planter that is designed and produced at the fab lab. Design was done using Fusion 360 and printed using PLA Plastic Material on an FDM 3d Printer. Planter was then used to plant some succulents as shown in the image.
